🏆 We are thrilled to announce that the #FRHInnovatorOftheYear Award 2024 is now open for applications!

This annual award aims to promote and celebrate excellence in religious heritage by recognising projects and initiatives that contribute to the appreciation, enhancement, safeguarding and promotion of religious sites, objects or traditions.

👥WHO CAN APPLY?
The competition is open to private and public organisations, public administrations, professionals from the cultural and creative industries and civil society.

🏅HOW WILL THE WINNER BE CHOSEN?
🔸Applications will be evaluated according to the five pillars of the European Commission's Framework for Action on Cultural Heritage: inclusion, sustainability, resilience, innovation and cooperation.
🔸An international jury of experts from different cultural heritage disciplines will evaluate the applications
🔸There will be one overall winner and four finalists

The winner and finalists will not only receive recognition for their outstanding achievements but also access to a platform to showcase their innovative approaches in religious heritage, connect with relevant cultural actors, and inspire others across Europe.

🗣️Meet the speakers of the FRH Conference 2024!

Serena Napoletano, member of La Paranza Social Cooperative and keynote speaker of the sub-theme "Sustainable Solutions", will speak about youth, religious heritage and job creation through the work of @catacombedinapoli in the Rione Sanità district of Naples 🇮🇹.

Since its founding in 2006, La Paranza has grown from five to 7️⃣ 0️⃣ young people employed, bringing new opportunities to a suburb where high youth unemployment rates were driving people away, and has breathed new life into 8️⃣ historic places of worship that are now open again to the local community and tourists ⛪ .

🗣️Meet the speakers of the FRH Conference 2024!

Patty Wageman, Director of @groningerkerken 🇳🇱, will speak on the significant role graveyards can play in biodiversity conservation and restoration at #FRHKrakow2024 🪦🌳.

The Dutch organisation has recently started a project with @landschapsbeheergroningen to care for the more than 60 graveyards and green areas surrounding the historic churches they manage. 🌱🦋 These places are oases for all kinds of plant and animal species that are particularly important to protect, especially in times of the current climate crisis.
