WHAT IS IT ABOUT?
A week of volunteering between 16 and 23 June.
Accommodation in the monastery guesthouse. Single room with bathroom.
Sharing an experience with other young people and with the Cistercian community living there. Helping them with tasks such as gardening, tidying the storerooms, cleaning a room or the church. In no case work that requires specialists such as heritage restorers, architects, etc.
In addition to work time, there will be free time for conversation, reading and walking in the surroundings. In this respect, it should be noted that this is not a sightseeing week. The monastery is somewhat isolated and we do not organise excursions outside it.
REQUIREMENTS:
– To be of legal age. No more than 30 years of age
– Fluency in Spanish
– Social skills
– It is not required to be Catholic, but it is required to respect the rules and customs of the monastery which is Catholic.
– In this sense, respect all the rules that are indicated, such as respect for timetables, dress code (beach attire is not allowed), etc.
– There is a registration form. And a document of acceptance of the rules that must be signed.
– Registration fee: 80 euros. It does not include the trip, which will be paid by the registered participants.
– Those interested will have an online interview with members of the board of Patrimonio para Jóvenes.
A CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION IN VOLUNTEERING IS ISSUED.
THE OCCASION CAN SERVE AS A MEETING POINT FOR THE FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF IDEAS AND PROJECTS AMONG YOUNG PEOPLE, IN THEIR OWN CITIES OR COUNTRIES.
